Sophie is a British Horse Society qualified Instructor and Stable Manager with 4+ decades of experience. She has produced her own horses for most equestrian disciplines and used to compete in Eventing and Dressage. Variety is the
Sophie is the joint owner of Cheston Farm Equestrian, who provide the horses and guides for Bridle and Moor. Sophie is a British Horse Society qualified Instructor and Stable Manager with 4+ decades of experience. She has produced her own horses for most equestrian disciplines and used to compete in Eventing and Dressage. Variety is the spice of life and Sophie is passionate about taking horses and riders across Dartmoor to experience this incredible wilderness for themselves.
Sophie also worked outside of horses, for The Princes’ Trust, Raleigh International and other youth and community roles, but returned to her first love of horses, building a successful career and business around it.

Andrew is the joint owner of Cheston Farm Equestrian and is the business and farm manager. As a horseman, he only took up riding in 2007, but his Irish Draft x Thoroughbred, Elvis, looks after him and the two of them enjoy canters across Dartmoor.

When time allows, Andrew loves his sailing and outdoor countryside time with 3 gundogs, or driving the lorry to take young horses out to events. Andrew is a fabulous chef and loves creating in the kitchen and will be on hand to help cater and organise logistics for Bridle and Moor. Like Sophie, Andrew held various management and director level roles working in both the public and charity sector before taking over Cheston.

Victoria is a passionate horsewoman and bought Old Brook Farm with Tom in 2023. They have been slowly renovating and restoring the farm to create a home for their own horses and to create stunning accomodation for guests. Victoria is originally from Devon but has lived all over the world including a stint down under. She and Tom have be

Tom is the head chef at Old Brook Farm and responsible for food and beverages! Tom has always enjoyed horses whether that was attending the races, watching 5* eventing or latterly hacking across Dartmoor with his own horse, Hetty. He is what is known in Devon as a 'blow in' having only moved here after meeting Victoria!
